In this video students will learn about the basic locking and unlocking principles as related to a standard 5 pin tumbler cylinder. Students will learn how to disassemble and reassemble standard mortise and rim cylinders using the tools of the trade. Learn about rekeying locks, general lock servicing procedures, pinning kits, code machines, opening techniques, key decoding, basic master keying and more. The instruction has been made in basic and easy to understand lessons as not to overwhelm students with the vast amount of information and skills involved in the trade of locksmithing.
